Kharibari, 07th July: The Ghoshpukur forest personnel arrested a person with deer antlers. The arrested has been identified as Santosh Roy a resident of Bihar.
The personnel of Ghoshpukur Forest Department launched an operation in Kharibari market acting on a tip-off and arrested Roy with the item. Ranger Sonam Bhutia said that the accused was executing a plan to smuggle the antlers from Malbazar to Bihar for Rs 2 lakh. He was produced in Siliguri Sub-Division Court on Thursday.
