Siliguri, 15th March: In a significant breakthrough, the officials of Siliguri police station and Panitanki Outpost have apprehended an individual during a joint patrolling from the Siliguri’s Subhas Pally area while attempting to steal batteries from an ATM. The arrested accused has been identified as Subir Sarkar alias Bocha (54).
According to police sources, the accused Subir was attempting to steal the battery by breaking the door of an ATM. During this, the undercover cops of Siliguri police station and Panitanki Outpost heard a sound incoming from the ATM.
Subsequently, the policemen apprehended the accused Subir in connection to the case. Upon initiating a search, the police recovered a total of three ATM batteries from the accused. On Friday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri Court, while further investigation is underway.
