Siliguri, 12th August: In a major development, a youth was successfully apprehended for stealing a gas cylinder from a residence in the Shastrinagar area located in Ward No. 41 under the jurisdiction of the Bhaktinagar Police Station. The accused has been identified as Anand Das.
On August 09, a gas cylinder was reportedly stolen from a residence in the Shastrinagar neighbourhood. CCTV footage revealed that the miscreant engaged in theft after carefully monitoring the cylinder’s delivery. Meanwhile, a written complaint was filed at the Bhaktinagar police station. Following this, the police swiftly tracked down the miscreant and, subsequently, on Friday night the suspect was detained from the Lakshmi Colony area.
On Saturday, the accused was presented to the Jalpaiguri Court. Meanwhile, the police are further investigating the entire incident.
