Siliguri, 31st July: Based on a tip-off, the Bhaktinagar police, on Thursday night, launched operations at the Salugara area and arrested a person along with one kilo of drugs. The arrested accused has been identified as Rajat Mahato.
The police have primarily assumed that the recovered drugs are brown sugar. However, it has been sent for testing.
The arrested accused has been produced before the Jalpaiguri court today. Police have launched an investigation into the whole incident.
