One arrested in bike theft case from Bidhannagar Market; four motorcycles recovered

Phansidewa, 27th September: A significant breakthrough has been made in a recent bike theft case with the recovery of four motorcycles and the arrest of one individual.


The incident came to light after a complaint was filed on September 19 at the Bidhannagar Investigation Center, reporting the theft of a bike from the Bidhannagar market in Phansidewa.

Following the investigation, Nitesh Hembram, a resident of Chopra in Uttar Dinajpur, was apprehended in connection with the theft. Authorities also recovered four motorcycles from his possession.


Kurseong Additional Superintendent of Police, Abhishek Roy, confirmed the development during a press conference held on Friday, stating that the recovery took place in Chopra as part of the ongoing probe into the theft case.
