No dining shed, Rajganj’s Narayanjote Primary School students eat mid-day meals in the field

Rajganj, 07th February: The students of the Narayanjote Primary School located in Rajganj block eat their mid-day meals in the field due to the lack of a dining hall.

According to reports, the school is located along the Indo-Bangladesh border under the Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat of the Rajganj block. Reportedly, due to the absence of a dining area, the school students eat their mid-day meal out in the open field. On Wednesday, the students were seen eating their mid-day meal in the field despite the several weather conditions. In addition, due to the absence of a boundary wall, several domestic animals usually invade the school premises.

In this regard, the headmaster of the school stated that about 60 students are enrolled in the school. However, due to the lack of a shed, the students have to sit and eat their meals in the field. Despite approaching the concerned administration regarding the matter, the issue remained unresolved. He further expressed that the construction of a dining shed and a boundary wall is highly required in the school.
