Siliguri, 31st January: Traffic police are taking initiatives to free the city of traffic congestion.
For a long time now, oil tankers and freight trucks have been occupying the roads by illegally parking on the Indian Oil road adjacent to NJP. Due to this, people are facing extreme problems. At different times, the police tried to clear the area of traffic congestion but the problem has not been solved yet.
On Monday, a raid was carried out in the area under the leadership of Traffic IC Shanta Sheel and with the assistance of NJP police. It has been directed to remove all the vehicles from the road by February 16. Otherwise, strict action will be taken.
Residents and local traders applauded the initiative taken.
