NJP Police nabs five for violating lockdown

Siliguri, 24th May: The NJP police have been campaigning continuously in various areas to check people from violating the lockdown imposed by the state.


During such a campaign, five lockdown violators were arrested by the team on Monday. Darjeeling District records 498 COVID-19 cases in the last 24-hour on Sunday. Despite the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and deaths, people are still not following the protocols. Many are still being spotted roaming the streets, indulging in alcohol and gambling, not wearing masks and others.
