Siliguri, 03rd November: NJP police arrested two persons along with a large quantity of cannabis. The arrested accused have been identified as Kanak Barman and Dilip Barman, residents of Sahebganj in Cooch Behar.
It has been learned that the police, acting on a tip-off, raided the Fulbari area and recovered 210 kgs of cannabis. Two people were arrested in the incident. The recovered cannabis was intended to be smuggled from Cooch Behar to Bihar via Fulbari.
According to police sources, the market value of the recovered cannabis is estimated to be around 30 lakh rupees. They were taken to Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
