Siliguri, 21st June: The NJP police arrested two miscreants who had gathered for the purpose of robbery. The arrested accused have been identified as Kamal Barman, a resident of More Bazar, and Sanjay Mandal, a resident of the Bashbari area.
Incidentally, on May 28, a gang of 10-12 robbers gathered at Fulbari for the purpose of robbery. Based on a tip-off, the police launched operations and arrested 4 men with a local firearm and a round of ammunition. Although several members of the gang managed to escape that day, another member was arrested on June 08.
The police arrested two more gang members from the Siliguri Madanibazar area last night. They were sent to Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
