NJP Police arrest three for theft in separate cases

Siliguri, 19th September: In two separate incidents, New Jalpaiguri police arrested three persons for allegedly being involved in a theft.


According to police sources, cash and gold ornaments were stolen from a house in the Sipaipara area a few days ago. The owner of the house had filed a complaint at the NJP police station. 

Based on the complaint, police launched an investigation and arrested two persons on Friday. The accused have been identified as Bappa Sahani and Chhotu Mahato. Both are said to be residents of South Colony area of ​​NJP.


Meanwhile, the NJP police arrested Santosh Mahato of the same Sipaipara area for stealing several items from a temple. Today the three accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri court.
