Siliguri, 17th November: NJP police arrested the prime accused of a bike theft ring and recovered 5 stolen motorcycles. The arrested accused has been identified as Jeevan Roy of Ghogomali.
It has been learned that after receiving several motorcycle theft complaints in different areas adjacent to the city, police launched investigations and arrested Roy near the NJP IOC gate. After questioning him, 4 more stolen bikes were recovered from the motorcycle parking lot adjacent to the NJP station. Police have learned that several more people are involved in this incident.
Jeevan Roy was sent to Jalpaiguri court today. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
