Siliguri, 24th January: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police arrested a man, identified as Debashish Das, a resident of Matigara. He is said to be involved in various anti-social activities.
It is to be noted that in November 2020, the NJP police arrested 3 miscreants along with weapons from the Fulbari Chunabhati area. However, Debashish Das managed to escape from the scene.
The police successfully got hold of Das on Saturday. According to police sources, the arrested accused was hiding in the Baribhasa area.
He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Sunday.
