Cooch Behar, 20th August: Sensation prevailed after a newborn baby was rescued from the Keshab Bhattacharya Lane area in Lambapara of Ward No. 8 in Tufanganj, on Friday morning.
According to sources, the locals heard cries from a bush in the said area around 8 am on Friday. They rushed to the spot and saw the newborn baby lying there. The baby was rescued and rushed to Tufanganj Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Meanwhile, the police reached the hospital after receiving the news of the incident. The police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
