New train stop inaugurated at Bagdogra Station by Darjeeling MP Raju Bista

Siliguri, 11th September: A new stop for the Guwahati-Ranchi special weekly train was inaugurated at Bagdogra station today by Darjeeling MP Raju Bista. The event witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, including Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandamoy Barman, Katihar Division DRM Surendra Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager G. Prashant Kumar, and others.


MP Raju Bista highlighted that the addition of this train stop will be a significant development for the people of Bagdogra. He further informed that both the Chennai-bound Capital Express and the Digha-bound Paharia Express would also have halts at this station, enhancing connectivity for the region’s residents.

Bista also mentioned the ongoing development projects across Darjeeling, supported by a fund of Rs 5000 crore. Furthermore, he pointed out that development initiatives were underway at Bagdogra Airport. In addition, he announced that under the Amrit Scheme, water supply would be provided at Siliguri Town Station, contributing to improved amenities for passengers.
