Siliguri, 14th September: On Thursday morning, IAS C. Sudhakar, the New Commissioner of Siliguri Metropolitan Police, immediately jumped into action as soon as he took charge. The Commissioner made surprise inspection visits to several police stations in Siliguri.
As per reports, Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar visited Bagdogra, Matigara, Pradhan Nagar, NJP, and Bhakti Nagar police stations. In addition, the Commissioner also held talks with the in-charge of all the police stations.
It has to be noted that, after the announcement of the transfer of Siliguri Metropolitan Police Commissioner Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi, there was a public demand to bring former Commissioner Gaurav Sharma back to Siliguri. However, C. Sudhakar was appointed as the new Commissioner of Siliguri Police. In this regard, IAS C. Sudhakar assured to ensure the safety of the city by working on the ground level.
