Siliguri, 18th July: New developments in the investigation regarding the fake call center recently busted in Siliguri revealed the scam being run under the guise of digital media.
It is to be noted that on July 16, DD produced 27 people including Saxena and Chaurasia in the court. On DD’s appeal, the court had directed to keep the owner and manager on remand for two days. After the completion of the remand period of two days, the duo was produced again in court today.
As per the interrogation, police learned that Gaurav Saxena used to run the call center under guise of astrology without any license. They used to charge a hefty amount by claiming to fix the past, future, and present of the people. This business had been running for a long time. The electronic equipment recovered from the spot by DD is also being investigated. Along with this, the phone numbers of many people have been found in the register. DD is probing all the leads.
