Neighbor’s son-in-law accused of kidnapping grade 6th girl student in Siliguri, investigations underway

Siliguri, 08th December: Sensation grips the area of Dakshin Palash Jamai Bazar when a student in grade 6th did not return home from school last Tuesday. After this, the family of the missing girl student filed a complaint at the police station accusing the neighbor’s son-in-law of kidnapping her. Meanwhile, the said accused son-in-law is absconding since the incident.


Reportedly, Krishna Roy, the 12-year-old daughter of Seemi Roy, a resident of the Dakshin Palash area, left for school on a bicycle last Tuesday to appear for her examination. Upon not returning home after exams, the family members got worried. After this, they started searching for Krishna. During the investigation, Krishna’s mother Seemi came to know that Krishna was met by an unknown woman while returning from school. After this, it was revealed from the CCTV camera of a shop in Devidanga that Manoj Roy, son-in-law of Pradeep Kumar Roy, who lives in the neighborhood, took Krishna away on his bike.

 


 

Missing Krishna’s mother Seemi said that she had a good association with the neighbor’s son-in-law, but could not understand the accused motive. She further added that Manoj had come to her house on Monday and left after asking about Krishna. Seemi is worried about her daughter’s whereabouts.

Whereas Pradeep Roy, father-in-law of the accused Manoj said that during the lockdown in the year 2019, Manoj was married to his daughter and has a 3-month-old daughter. Pradeep also went to his son-in-law’s house in Dhupguri on Tuesday but was not found there. He said that he hopes for Krishna’s safe return and also demanded strict punishment for the guilty.
