Naxalbari Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Utsav Navanna commences

Naxalbari, 31st January: Siliguri Mahakma Parishad Utsav Navann commenced in Naxalbari today. The festival of the Mahakuma Parishad will continue for the next seven days. Meanwhile, a grand procession was taken out from Rathkhola in Naxalbari today.


During this, Minister of State for Tribal Development Bulu Chik Baraik, Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb, Speakers Arun Ghosh, Kajal Ghosh, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress Chairman Alok Chakraborty, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress leader Papiya Ghosh, District Magistrate, Police Superintendent, and others were present.

During the said festival, cultural programs will be organized in four blocks of the department. Although the main stage is in Naxalbari. But during the Navanna Utsav, the culture of different communities of the entire North Bengal will be highlighted. Apart from cultural programs, sports will also be organized. It is reported that many well-known singers will be present during the festival. Goutam Deb said that the said festival is being organized with the push of the Chief Minister. The festival will highlight the culture of North Bengal.
