Naxalbari, 05th March: While trying to smuggle drugs from Siliguri to Naxalbari, a smuggler was caught by the police. The arrested accused has been identified as Varun Paul. He is a resident of Siliguri.
It has been learned that the Naxalbari police conducted an operation in the area adjacent to Babupara of Naxalbari after receiving a tip-off last night. Police recovered 4 kg 500 gms of cannabis and 40 gms of heroin from the arrested youth.
The market value of the recovered drugs is around one lakh rupees. He was produced at Siliguri court on Saturday.
