Naxalbari, 20th February: A leopard strayed into the Kaluajote area on the Indo-Nepal border of Naxalbari on Sunday morning and created panic in the entire area.
The locals spotted the leopard in the trunk of a tree and immediately informed the forest department. Upon receiving the information, the workers of the Tukuria forest department reached the spot to rescue the animal. However, the leopard dodged the forest department staff and vanished. Later, the workers successfully trapped the animal into a net.
Meanwhile, a huge crowd gathered in the area to catch a glimpse of the leopard.
