Siliguri, 16th November: National Chicken Day was celebrated today in Siliguri Bidhan Market to convey the importance of consuming chicken as its high protein content gives a boost to an individual’s immunity level.
The chicken shops inside Bidhan Market were decorated with balloons from the morning. Flex was installed in front of various shops and cakes were also cut on behalf of traders.
Trader Tanmoy Saha said that chicken helps boost the body’s immune system. Doctors always ask everyone to include chicken and eggs in their diet. He further said that such an initiative has been taken today to raise awareness on National Chicken Day.
