Siliguri, 03rd September: During a press conference, Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) Vice Chairman Nantu Pal stated that the SJDA authorities will carry out developmental works in Bidhan Market.
Pal stated that a statue of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy is likely to be constructed in the market and proper roads will be built inside the vegetable market. He further claimed that restrooms will also be constructed at Khudiram Pally Market in the interest of the citizens and advanced parking facilities will be provided.
On the other hand, Nantu Pal stated that several shopkeepers have filed cases against the demolition of illegal constructions in Bidhan Market. However, the court and SJDA will look into the matter.
