Kharibari, 27th August: The death of a youth in Panitanki of Kharibari block created a stir in the entire area. The deceased has been identified as Kartik Barman (26) of Goursing Jote in Panitanki.
As per the information, the locals spotted the youth lying in Haribasti of Kharibari block on Thursday night. Following this, they rescued him and rushed him to Naxalbari Rural Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot after receiving the news. The body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
