Siliguri, 11th September: Sensation prevailed in the area after the locals stumbled upon the blood-stained body of an unidentified young individual hanging from the noose in Dabgram, Ward No. 23 of Siliguri.
According to reports, on Monday morning, a local resident from the neighborhood apartment spotted the blood-smeared body hanging from the ventilator of a house located on Pritilata Road. Following this, the Siliguri police station was immediately notified. Upon receiving the news, the authorities promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the body.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased had suffered severe bruising on their hands and bore signs of a violent struggle with evident bloodstains. Local speculation suggests that the young man may have been murdered before being hung in the grim display. Nevertheless, the locals are certain that the victim was not a local resident.
The incident led to a widespread commotion in the area. The body was transported to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for an autopsy. The police are engaged in investigating the mystery surrounding the brutal death.
