Alipurduar, 24th January: Sensation prevailed in the area after Seema Saha and her six-year-old daughter Moupriya were found dead in their house located in the Bhatibari area of the Alipuduar district.
As per details gathered, the deceased Sima Saha was married to her husband Dipankar Saha, and was survived by her six-year-old daughter. Reportedly, Dipankar Saha is professionally a migrant labourer and resides in Haryana at the moment. Meanwhile, his mother, wife, and daughter lived in Bhatibari. In a sudden turn of events, on Wednesday morning, Dipankar’s wife Sima had locked herself in the room with her daughter. Subsequently, his mother repeatedly called for her daughter-in-law but no response was received.
To her dismay, upon peeking through the window, she spotted the deceased body of Sima Saha hanging from the noose. Following this, the family members immediately broke open the door and found the deceased body of the six-year-old lying on the ground. Concerning the tragedy, the family members believed that the deceased Sima Saha initially killed her daughter and eventually committed suicide.
On the other hand, upon receiving the news of the incident, the officials of the Bhatibari police station promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies. The matter is currently under further investigation.
