Siliguri, 27th May: Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh held an important meeting regarding traffic-related issues at the Siliguri Police Commissionerate on Wednesday. Several senior officials of the commissionerate were present during the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on the growing traffic congestion in the city and the inconvenience faced by the general public. The current traffic situation in Siliguri and possible solutions were also discussed during the meeting.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Shankar Ghosh said that multiple initiatives are being planned to address traffic-related problems within the next three months. Discussions were also held on increasing surveillance in important areas, controlling congestion, and introducing new measures keeping public convenience in mind.
