Siliguri, 19th January: Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh and members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha met with the IC (Inspector-in-Charge) of the Siliguri police station to discuss the crisis concerning women’s safety and security around the city.
Notably, two days ago, a young woman was molested on Subhash Pally’s College Road in Siliguri. As a result, the incident has raised concerns about the role of the police administration in protecting women in the city.
According to reports, on Friday evening, the MLA and BJP Mahila Morcha members met with the IC and demanded vigilant action to ensure the safety of women.
