Cooch Behar, 26th October: Malti Rabha Roy, MLA of Tufanganj Vidhan Sabha, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, applied tilak on the forehead of BSF jawans posted on the Indo-Bangladesh border and wished them long life, happiness, and prosperity.
Observing a fast today, the MLA reached the Indo-Bangladesh border under the Toofanganj assembly to apply tilak to the soldiers of the 62nd battalion of BSF posted on the Indo-Bangladesh border.
During this occasion, MLA Malti said that brothers and sisters wait for the special occasion to celebrate together but jawans stationed at the border every day to protect the country India never gets the opportunity to celebrate with their siblings and family even if they want to. Thus citing this reason she arrived to celebrate the Bhai Dooj to wish the jawans and celebrate the occasion with the ones who protect the citizens of the count.
