MLA Khageswar Roy laid foundation stone of high-drain and road expansion in Rajganj Bazar

Rajganj, 29th December: On Friday, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for high-drain and road expansion in Rajganj Bazar. The construction work was officially inaugurated through a program.


The event witnessed the presence of Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Rupali Dey Sarkar, Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad member Uttara Barman, former Education Officer of Zilla Parishad Debashish Pramanik, social worker Arindam Banerjee, and other public representatives.

Reportedly, as per the budget of the Public Works Department (PWD), 900 meters of high drain and 2 km stretch of road will be widened at an estimated cost of about 4 crore 80 lakh.


Speaking at the program, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy stated that the work was officially inaugurated in an attempt to fulfill the prolonged demand of the locals. He added that the development will be highly beneficial for the residents of the area.
