Rajganj, 20th January: On Saturday, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone of a 3 km paved road. The construction work of the road commenced from Sahudangi More to Hatiadanga of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat under Rajganj block.
Reportedly, the road is being constructed under the initiative of the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD) at a cost of about Rs 2 crore and 58 lakh.
In this regard, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy termed the road to be important and was first constructed in 2014. He added that the road has become dilapidated for which the foundation stone has been laid for its reconstruction. Further, the MLA stated that the citizens of the area would be benefited after its completion.
