MLA Khageshwar Roy laid foundation stone for bridge over Dahuk River in Rajganj

Rajganj, 27th August: Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy laid the foundation stone for the construction of an iron bridge over the Dahuk River in Sannyasikata gram panchayat of Rajganj.


The Dahuk River lies between Nabagram and Cheker Mari on the Indo-Bangladesh border in Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat of Rajganj. However, with the absence of a bridge to cross the river, the residents have been facing trouble in their daily commute for many years.

Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy said that an iron composite bridge will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.85 crore through the Public Works Department. “The construction of the bridge will solve the long-standing problems of the residents of the area,” he added.


Rajganj Panchayat Samiti president Purnima Roy, Panchayat Samiti member Roshan Habib, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Mallika Roy, and others were present at the programme.
