Miscreants escape after looting a man at NJP Railway Station, search underway 

Siliguri, 27th June: The incidents of theft and snatching in Siliguri have been increasing on a daily basis. A similar incident took place on Sunday where a person was robbed by miscreants at NJP station.
Reportedly, Sanjay Srivastava, a resident of Gujarat, had come to Siliguri for work purposes. After completing his work on Sunday, he was waiting for his train at NJP station to return home. It is alleged that a person posing as a passenger started conversing with him and later managed to bring Sanjay out of the station, giving an excuse of booking a ticket. Sanjay was taken near the NJP truck stand, where he was ambushed by two other men.
Allegedly, the men strangled Sanjay and robbed him of Rs 9,500 cash, his mobile phone and ATM before fleeing. After the incident, Sanjay Srivastava lodged a written complaint at the NJP police station and also alleged that on Monday, Rs 5,000 was withdrawn from his bank account. Based on the complaint, the NJP Police are probing the entire matter.
