Mirik, 26th July: Ward No. 8 of the Mirik Municipality was sanitized, today, on behalf of the Mirik Youth Association Mahendra Gaon. Furthermore, the association members swept the roads of the area clean.
The drive was conducted under the initiative of Ward Co-ordinator Nimarida Bhutia in a joint venture with the local fire station.
While disinfectant was sprayed on the roads with the help of a fire engine, the members of the Youth Association went door-to-door and sanitized every house of the ward.
The sanitization drive was conducted aiming to keep the Ward No. 8 free of coronavirus and to keep the village clean. Ward residents have expressed their gratitude to Ward Co-ordinator for taking such an initiative.
