Mirik Drivers’ Associations to support the Janta Curfew called by the PM

Mirik, 21st March: In view of the increasing coronavirus infection in India, along with various countries of the world, Mirik’s Sagarmatha Taxi Driver Welfare Association and Mirik Local Taxi Driver Welfare Association have declared their support to the Janta Curfew on March 22. The transportation service in Mirik has been stated to be completely closed during the Janta Curfew.


While addressing the media during a press conference, Secretary of the Taxi Driver Association, Sonam Lama, urged every citizen to be responsible and follow the curfew appealed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further requested the people to stay in their homes during the Janta Curfew, i.e. on Sunday from 7 am to 9 pm, and conveyed a message that the people should protect themselves and others from the fatal virus.

It is to recall, the nation’s Prime Minister appealed the countrymen to observe ‘Janata Curfew’ across the country on March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm, in order to prevent the transmission of the Coronavirus.
