Minor missing from Siliguri rescued from Delhi after 8 days

Siliguri, 11th January: In recent developments, a minor girl missing from Siliguri has been rescued from Delhi. The cops of Siliguri police station safely rescued the minor after 8 days and brought her back to Siliguri.


Sources revealed that, on January 2, the minor had left her home for school, however, she did not return home. Following this, on January 3, the minor’s father filed a written complaint at the Siliguri police station. During the investigation, Siliguri police station gained information that the minor was spotted at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station.

Subsequently, the police tracked the minor’s phone which indicated a location in Delhi. Acting promptly, a team from Siliguri police station left for Delhi and rescued the minor from Delhi’s Sultanpur. Later, after the legal procedures, the minor was brought back to Siliguri. On Thursday, the Siliguri police station produced the minor before the Siliguri court under the guidance of CWC.


According to information received from police sources, the minor left home after being dissatisfied over a family dispute and went to a social media friend’s residence in Delhi.
