Siliguri, 27th September: In the recent development, the Siliguri court today accepted the bail application of the accused teacher Amir Ali. The decision came after the court heard the plea of the defence and the victim’s statement recorded under section 164.
It is to recall, a 17-year-old student living in Ward No. 01 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation took private coaching classes at Mohammad Amir Ali’s house in Gurung Basti. Likewise, she went to her tuition on September 14 but failed to return home thereafter. Her family then lodged a complaint at the Pradhan Nagar police station accusing Aamir Ali of luring their daughter into a love affair and kidnapping her.
The police launched an investigation and traced Amir Ali and the minor girl on September 21. After keeping the accused in judicial custody for 6 days, the case was produced in court today. Where the judge, considering the plea and the statement of the minor, granted bail to the accused teacher Amir Ali. Reportedly, the case will be heard once again on February 10 of 2022.
