Phansidewa, 10th September: Bulu Chik Baraik, the Minister of State for Indigenous and Backward Classes Welfare Department, visited the house of Albert Tirkey who died in a tragic road accident on September 08. He was a resident of the Gangaram tea garden area of Bagdogra and used to play for Darjeeling FC. He was recognized for his excellent goalkeeping.
The minister said that the police administration has started an investigation into the incident. If there is any other reason behind the death, action must be taken against those involved. He also assured to stay by the side of Albert’s family members.
