Migratory birds start arriving in Fulbari Barrage

Rajganj, 30th November: With the advent of winter season, migratory birds have started to arrive in Fulbari Barrage. Different species of birds are being spotted at Paschim Dhantala’s Mahananda river adjacent to Fulbari Barrage in Rajganj block.


Santu Dutta, secretary of Optopic (an environmental organization), stated that various species of migratory birds including Ruddy Shelduck and River Lapwing, have arrived from Mongolia, Tibet, South Africa, Siberia, and many other countries. He is hopeful that more migratory birds will be spotted in the coming days.
