Siliguri, 27th May: During a press conference on Wednesday, the Chairman of Siliguri Primary Council Dr. Suprakash Roy stated that mid-day meal commodities (2 kg rice and 2 kg potatoes) will be provided to the students of the government schools from June 1 to June 5. Although several schools have been set up as quarantine centers, no difficulty will be faced in the distribution.
Roy further maintained that several primary schools have started conducting online classes amid the ongoing lockdown. Also, a state-level committee has been formed concerning the functioning of schools during such a crisis. Further steps will be taken based on the decision taken by the committee.
