Memorandum submitted to ADRM demanding resumption of train services

Siliguri, 08th September: The Dooars Tourism Development Forum as well as the Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network, on Tuesday, submitted a memorandum to the ADRM at NJP station with a demand to resume train services concerning the growth in tourism industry.


The programme was initiated by the organization with a demand to launch tourist special or passenger trains in Alipurduar, Madarihat, Malbazar, and NJP.


According to the organization, people associated with the tourism industry will see a glimmer of hope if the train services are resumed.

On behalf of the Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network, Samrat Sanyal stated that after submitting the memorandum, the railway authorities have assured to decide on holding discussions in this regard.
