Memorandum submitted by AIDSO to Registrar of NBU

Siliguri, 17 January: The rising graph of coronavirus cases in the state has forced the government in imposing strict restrictions from January 3. The government has closed all educational institutes. A memorandum has been submitted by AIDSO to the Registrar of the University of North Bengal against the educational institutes alleging of charging arbitrary fees.


After submitting the memorandum, AIDSO Darjeeling district member Abhijit Sanyal stated that people due to the covid scenario, are going through a financial crisis, despite the situation arbitrary fees are being demanded by some educational institutes. To protest this, a memorandum has been submitted.

The members stated that the Registrar has assured that further investigations will be done on this matter. They further said that if no actions will be taken on the matter the organization will hold a mass agitation in the coming days.
