Memorandum issued to Rajganj police demanding withdrawal of state’s online liquor system

Rajganj, 21st February: The All India Women’s Cultural Organization submitted a memorandum to the Rajganj Police Station demanding withdrawal of the state’s online liquor system.

On Monday, the Rajganj Block Committee of All India Women’s Cultural Organization staged a protest in front of the police station and handed over a memorandum to the Rajganj police station.

Jharna Roy, a member of the district committee of the organization, said that in the name of collecting additional revenue, the state excise department will launch an e-retail of liquor for door-to-door delivery. While murders, injuries, robberies, rapes, torture of women, criminal incidents, and accidents are on the rise every day, the introduction of an online alcohol system will cause moral degradation of students and youths. Therefore, a memorandum was submitted to the Rajganj Police Station on behalf of the Rajganj Block Committee demanding withdrawal of the project.
