Jalpaiguri, 24th August: The Maynaguri police arrested three people with a huge quantity of cannabis. The arrested accused have been identified as Sudeb Sarkar, Tapash Sarkar, and Podo Sarkar. All are residents of Cooch Behar district
According to police sources, the consignment was being transported from Dinhata to Siliguri. Based on a tip-off, the police detained two vehicles on Sark Road in Indira More area of Maynaguri. After searching, 40 kgs of cannabis was recovered from the vehicles. Following this, the three were arrested.
The arrested individuals were sent to Jalpaiguri court on Tuesday. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
