Siliguri, 25th July: Matigara police recovered a huge cache of ration rice illegally being smuggling in a truck. Four people were arrested in the incident.
Reportedly, the police launched an operation based on a tip-off and detained the said truck on the Asian Highway in Matigara on Saturday night. Upon searching, the police recovered a large quantity of ration rice inside the truck which was illegally being smuggled to other states. The arrested accused were produced in the Siliguri court today. Police have started an investigation into the whole matter.
