Siliguri, 21st September: A massive tree was uprooted and fell on the road in front of the Public Works Department (PWD) bungalow near the Hospital More in Siliguri. The incident resulted in traffic congestion for several hours.
As per reports, the tree fell due to the heavy rain on Wednesday night and partially damaged a flower shop. In addition, traffic movement from Hashmi Chowk to Hospital More and Court More was disrupted for several hours. Later, Municipal Corporation personnel arrived at the spot and initiated the removal of the fallen tree from the road. Subsequently, traffic movement was restored.
