Siliguri, 22nd April: Heavy rains and thunderstorms lashed across Siliguri and neighbouring areas causing severe damages. Likewise, a tree fell on Baidyanath Roy’s house in the Jamurivita area of Fulbari No. 01 gram panchayat. Several people were injured in the incident.
As per our sources, Baidyanath Roy’s daughter Sangeeta Roy is to get married on Friday. The family arranged the wedding with the help of close aides. The relatives who came to their house to attend the wedding were also injured in the incident. Various items in the house have also been destroyed.
At present, the family does not have money to repair the house. They appealed all to help them in this situation.
