Fulbari, 10th March: A massive fire erupted at an incense stick factory in Fulbari, triggering chaos in the surrounding area. The inferno consumed all machinery and materials, including equipment used for making incense sticks.
The incident reportedly took place around 2 p.m. on Sunday within the jurisdiction of the Fulbari-II Chaturagachh Gram Panchayat. Meanwhile, two fire trucks from Siliguri and Fulbari rushed to the scene and battled the flames for nearly an hour before gaining control of the situation.
According to the factory owner, the facility had been non-operational for the past three months. Upon learning of the fire, he hurried to the site to assess the damage. It was clarified that the fire did not originate within the factory premises but possibly ignited from nearby vacant land.
