Siliguri, 15th October: The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb has announced the making of a readymade market to be run by women self-help groups and persons with disabilities in the Bengal Safari Park premises.
Such an initiative has been taken to empower the women SHGs and disabled persons by helping them sell hand-made items in the stalls.
In this context, the minister said that approval has already been received from the state government concerning the market. The construction work is likely to commence after Durga Puja.
