Siliguri, 08th August: A man downed and died while fishing in the river in Siliguri. The incident took place in the Mahananda colony area this afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Sushant Saha, a resident of Vidyasagar Colony.
According to the information, Sushant would occasionally go fishing after work. Likewise, this afternoon, after coming from the market he went fishing. Later, residents of the Mahakal Pally area found his body in the river. On receiving the news, his family arrived at the spot of the incident and took out his body out of the river to take him to the hospital. However, on arriving at the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead. The post-mortem will be conducted on Tuesday.
